Drawing Board

A drawing board is a flat surface used for drawing or drafting, typically resting on a stand or legs. It may also contain other features such as a spirit level to ensure it is level. These have a large, flat surface on which you can draw or lay out plans and designs. It is usually made of wood or plastic and has a smooth, hard surface. A drawing board is, in its antique form, a kind of multipurpose desk which can be used for any kind of drawing, writing or impromptu sketching on a large sheet of paper or for reading a large format book or other oversized document or for drafting precise technical illustrations.

It is a large, flat surface on which you can draw or place papers.
